Oliver House will begin work on improving our Early Years space over the Easter holidays. Our plan is to demolish the garage at the front of the school and build a new classroom in its place which will open for the start of the new school year in September 2018.
Our Early Years department will be working closely with the Early Excellence Centre to re-design all of our Early Years spaces and fit out the new classroom. The goal of these works is to provide our youngest children with the very best space possible in which they can learn at such an important stage of their development.
Over the Easter holidays the garage will be demolished and the area will be temporarily fenced off. A temporary space to store scooters and bikes will be set up in the playground for the Trinity term. Work will begin on building the new classroom the week before the May half term.
Alongside the creation of a new classroom space will be the installation of a canopy over part of the nursery playground. The nursery playground will also be re-surfaced to match that of the main playground. A new cycle/scooter shed and bin storage area will be installed in the Prep school car park and we will also be installing gates at the two entrances to the Prep school driveway over the summer holidays. These works will improve the look and functionality of the school site and also help to make the site more secure
This development is part of our ongoing commitment to providing the very best facilities that we can at Oliver House and is an exciting next step in the continued growth of the school.
