Admissions Procedure

The Admissions Procedure and stages of application for a place at Oliver House School.

Stages of Application
  • A visit can be arranged at any time during the year by contacting the Admissions Secretary.
    E-mail is enquiries@oliverhouse.org.uk
  • Following the visit, if you wish to apply, an application form should be downloaded, printed off and returned to the school, together with the relevant application fee.
  • Following confirmation of receipt, letters offering interviews will be sent out. Those children aged 5 and above (Reception – Year 6) will also be asked to sit a short test in numeracy and literacy, whilst children aged 3-4 will need to accompany parents to the interview.
  • After the interview you will be contacted and informed as to whether your child has been successful in obtaining a place.
  • Should you be offered a place, please return the Acceptance Form, and at this point a non-refundable deposit of £2,500 will be payable, this constitutes a formal acceptance of your child’s place. This deposit is held until the child’s last term at Oliver House (see our terms and conditions). Thereafter a full term’s notice, in writing, should be given should you wish to withdraw your child from the nursery or school. The deposit will be forfeited if less than a term’s notice is given in writing.
  • Full information regarding specific entrance procedure and requirements is sent out in the term prior to entry.
