Building & Facilities

Oliver House is a grade II listed building, built in 1771. It has had a number of famous residents, including David Bell Hanbury (1794-1892), a famous medic of the time and founder of Allen and Hanbury. For many years it was part of Clapham College, and more recently, a convent.

PACT Educational Trust acquired the property in 2004 and has negotiated to purchase the freehold of the premises from the Catholic Archdiocese of Southwark over a period of 7 years.

In the summer of 2004 major renovation commenced to create classrooms and facilities on the ground and first floors. Renovations will continue outside of term-time, in consultation with English Heritage and local planners, to ensure that the character of the house is respected.

A second phase of renovation was completed in August 2007 to provide the school with additional nursery facilities.

A priority in the near future will be the establishment of a chapel, where it is hoped the Blessed Sacrament will be reserved, with the permission of the Archdiocese.
